1. Begin
by searching for the Microsoft Store in the start menu
2. Use
the search bar to find “Remote Desktop” and “Get” the app shown
3. Open
Remote Desktop after downloading, then start by clicking Settings
4. Everything
in Settings should be OK by default, but ensure it looks like this
5. Click
the Add button, followed by PC
6. Enter
the PC name as provided by IT, then click the Plus button
7. Input
your username and password, then click save
8. You
should now be back at the Add a PC screen. Click Save again
9. You
will now see your saved PC. Click it to begin your connection
10. Click
the certificate checkbox followed by ‘Connect Anyway’
11. To show
both taskbars, begin by clicking the three dots at the top
12. Then
click OUT of fullscreen
13. Click
the ‘Maximize’ button on the smaller window
14. You
are now able to access both the QuickBooks bar and your taskbar
15. To
exit the VM, simply click the X button in the top right then ‘Disconnect’
